Efeitos da prática do Lien Ch’i nos escores psicológicos(DASS) em escolares

Resumo

Entre as práticas terapêuticas da Medicina Tradicional Chinesa, observam-se diversos tipos de práticas corporais visando preservar ou recuperar a saúde, fortalecendo o corpo e a mente. Este estudo tem como objetivo avaliar a prática do Lien Ch’i como exercício regular inserido no ambiente escolar e observar seus efeitos. Participaram do estudo 32 alunos de uma escola pública, média de idade de 8±0,7 anos, ambos os gêneros divididos em 2 grupos, um de prática, que receberam a vivência dos exercícios por 7 minutos, 5 dias por semana num período de 8 semanas, e outro grupo controle. Anteriormente ao início do estudo e após o término foi aplicado o protocolo de escores psicológicos Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scales. O grupo de prática do Lien Ch’i apresentou diferenças estatísticas significativas para dois escores com P=0,0008 para Depressão e P=0,0085 para Estresse. No grupo controle não houve diferenças estatisticamente significativas. A prática do Lien Ch’i realizada por crianças neste estudo evidenciou a redução dos escores de depressão e estresse, estas evidências dão suporte para a realização de investigações mais amplas que visem elucidar demais mecanismos influenciados pela práxis cotidiana desses exercícios.
