STUDENTS' PERCEPTIONS OF REMOTE LEARNING AND CONTRIBUTIONS TO POST-PANDEMIC TEACHING

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic caused face-to-face teaching to be interrupted and emergency remote teaching implemented for the continuity of pedagogical activities at all levels of education. Immediate adaptations were necessary, such as the use of digital technologies that became essential in this teaching format. This study reports the remote pedagogical experiences developed in Histology classes with the use of digital platforms and the perception of university students about the implemented approach. Classes and activities were made available on Google Classroom and weekly activities were carried out on Quizizz and Formative digital platforms. In general, students had a favorable position regarding remote classes and activities, reporting the challenges encountered in emergency remote teaching. Based on the experience, the students indicated aspects that could be maintained in the return to face-to-face activities.
