Abstract

The objective was to describe the validation process of an educational tool for elderly companions, of the hobby type, with guidelines of the rules and routines of a hospital environment. A qualitative, descriptive, methodological study was used. The subjects were 24 nurses who answered a semi-structured questionnaire with 19 statements. The data were tabulated according to the questions and the minimum approval score of 75% was used. All the subjects reached above the score, and the suggestions were accepted. It is concluded that the validation was of great importance for the improvement of the educational product. It is hoped that the product can contribute to the companions’ education, thus helping to restore the patients’ health.
