Luvas grandes em mãos pequenas, as dificuldades dos profissionais de enfermagem: Design Science Research

Abstract

Objective: to characterize nursing professionals in relation to the size of their hands and identify the difficulties presented by health professionals when using gloves for large procedures on small hands, during patient care. Method: Design Science Research, with 204 who received samples of inappropriately sized pairs of gloves to carry out their work activities, a form was applied after care practice. The information was transcribed, analyzed, discussed and presented in tables. Results: the difficulties presented by were lack of ability, discomfort and limitation of touch. Conclusion: the involvement of the health service is of great importance, especially the actions of the nurse, in the care related to the adversities presented by their work team and the development of strategies for the improvement of the work process, directed to the environment, to the autonomy , inputs and materials and support for individual and collective needs.
