Active methodologies in teaching students with autism spectrum disorder in Specialized Educational Care
Abstract
The present study reports the state of the issue regarding the use of active methodologies as innovative and inclusion strategies in the teaching-learning of students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in Specialized Educational Services (SES). This research was carried out for the period from 2011 to 2023, in the Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD) and in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations (CAPES), using the keywords “Special educational service”, “Inclusive education”, “Active methodologies” and “autism spectrum disorder”. Stands out that the use of active methods, such as gamification, project-based learning, Design Thinking and others, contribute significantly to the development of skills and competencies desired for basic education. To make that happen, training and interprofessional collaboration among teachers is essential, as a key factor in promoting inclusion, strengthening the educational environment and ensuring the adequate implementation of methodologies.
