A utilização do WMS como potencializador dos processos de armazenagem

Abstract

Logistics has always been a basic part of companies. With globalization and easy access to technological resources, it has developed and expanded the opportunities for its processes, reflecting on an improvement in management and management of organizations. Thus, the use of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) has gained prominence in companies, bringing with it a technological advance in an effective way, aiming at aiding processes. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to evaluate the WMS as a fundamental and indispensable facilitator for the enhancement of storage processes. Seeking to narrow the field under study, the company A2B Logística was chosen, where the points highlighted in the research were calculated, in a real model. The methodology used to formulate the base of this research was descriptive and exploratory with a qualitative character, in the search for total transparency of the information collected. The study demonstrated that the strategy used at the birth of the company was the inclusion of its own WMS, an adaptable and exclusive system. In addition, all the indicated indications consolidated that this strategy had the effect strategically planned for the company, becoming a competitive differential, reflecting in greater efficiency of the processes. Therefore, it is reaffirmed how much the WMS has become an indispensable tool to maximize and bring about significant improvements in storage processes, positively impacting the growth of companies.
